Commemoration of the World Aids Day 2020

The global commemoration of the World AIDS Day is on December 1, 2020. The day is dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and is in remembrance of those who have lost their lives to complications of HIV.

The University of Nairobi will hold a virtual event on December 1, 2020 from 9.00 AM to 11.00AM. The chief guest is the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama.

Team Equity Alliance Win UNSA Elections 2020

Team Equity Alliance from Chiromo Campus emerged the winners in the UNSA elections held on Wednesday; November 18, 2020. This were the first student elections to be held virtually using the e.ballot system in the history of the university. This winning team will work and represent the College of Biological and Physical Sciences students in the University of Nairobi Students Association (UNSA). Congratulations to the new leaders.

Inspection of Students’ Nominal Rolls across the University’s Twelve (12) Electoral Colleges

The Commission has published provisional students’ voters’ nominal rolls in the University’s website in line with schedule 3 of the Rules and Regulations Governing Student Elections, 2017.

The purpose of this announcement is to direct that all students do inspect and verify their details as captured in the provisional nominal rolls from Monday, October 26, 2020 to Sunday, November 1, 2020.

East African Community Scholarship programme

IUCEA hereby invites the citizens of the East African Community to apply for cohort 2 of the KfW- funded Scholarships, to pursue Master’s studies in the EAC Partner State other than their own.


Thematic areas: 1) Mathematics, 2) Engineering, 3) Informatics, 4) Science,   5) Technology, and 6) Business Science. Eligible applicants: Nationals of the East African Community (EAC) Partner States (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda).
Duration of the Scholarship: 2 years.  Closing date:  22nd October 2020, 17:00 hours, East African Time
