While in US for COMET Executive Board conference , Dr Alfred Opere attended a seminar in which a PhD student, Alicia Bentley presented her project. This student has a website that provides global real time NWP data but with different parameters that really help to get at understanding of the weather. In particular the anomaly charts where the standard deviation of various parameters from the 21 day moving means are displayed. This gives a really good insight into what to look at.
AfriWatSan is developing the scientific evidence to inform policies and practices sustaining low-cost, on-site water supplies and sanitation systems in urban Africa and to strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions to conduct this vital research.
